Valentine’s Day is a day when most people are looking for something fun to do. Whether you call it GALentine’s Day, Singles Awareness Day, or love it for what it is, this quick guide will have something for everyone. I know I always struggle with ideas on what to do, so I’m sharing these with you in hopes that they will help you too.

As a woman, society teaches us that we are supposed to have confidence from day one. Our hair is supposed to be long and luscious, our faces are supposed to be blemish-free and glowing, and high heels are to be worn when dressing up. While we see this every day on TV and in movies, it’s not natural. In fact, most of us struggle every day with self-confidence. It’s easy and seemingly normal to feel like we are not the best person for the job, not the most beautiful, or not the best partner, friend, or daughter. It’s become normal to compare ourselves and feel inadequate or not enough. Feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt can eventually lead to a state of depression if we keep believing these negative ideas about ourselves.
“How was your trip to Florida?” everyone asks.
It was AMAZING. Oh my gosh. I didn’t want to leave. I’m ready to go back already. And this is so true. I enjoyed Boca Raton and Miami Beach so much that I’m thinking about moving down there. They’re so beautiful and inviting. You feel like you’re in luxury everywhere you go. And who wouldn’t like that, right?
For anyone who didn’t already know, I recently went on a business trip with my company to Florida for a Board of Directors meeting. Being the administrative assistant, I am in charge of much of the logistical work – scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, and being the main point of contact to connect people. I assisted in creating the meeting agenda, keeping track of flights, arranging transportation, and setting up the room for the board meeting.
Customer relationships are replacing traditional marketing.
How are your relationships with your friends/followers? This is an important question to ask yourself regularly. It isn’t stressed enough how important it is to build relationships with other people. Do you respond back to people and engage with them when they comment on your post or reply to your story? Do you give authentic responses, or do you copy/paste your replies to save time? Putting a bit of thought and effort into your responses, and even responding AT ALL can make a huge difference. Maybe it’s even as simple as sending a direct message to someone you discovered saying hi and telling them how much you love their page. Human connection is BIG.
