Asheville, North Carolina Travel Guide

Asheville, North Carolina Travel Guide

Asheville, North Carolina

If you’ve heard of Asheville, North Carolina it probably had something to do with either breweries or the Biltmore Estate. If so, it would be pretty accurate! Asheville is home to the famous Biltmore Estate as well as numerous different breweries and part of the Blue Ridge Parkway. It’s a charming little town with plenty of places to get food and drinks and beautiful mountain views just minutes outside of the city. In this Asheville, North Carolina travel guide I talk about where to go, places to get food and drinks, and where we stayed during our visit. READ MORE

What To Pack For a North Carolina Road Trip

TRAVEL GUIDE: What to pack for a North Carolina road trip

It’s August 2020 and we are still in the midst of residual COVID-19 restrictions and limitations on travel. But it has been 9 months since Andrew and I have done any sort of major “traveling” (3 months since the beach), and we’re dying to go somewhere. So him and I are taking a mini road trip to Asheville, North Carolina and the Blue Ridge Mountains! Asheville is only about 3 1/2 hours away from us, but we still want to be fully prepared for the road trip no matter how small. So I created a checklist of everything I want and need to bring for the trip to make sure I don’t miss anything on the way out! I organized my checklist into categories so that I don’t mix anything up or overlook anything. READ MORE

RECIPE: Blueberry Pomegranate Matcha Collagen Drink

RECIPE: Blueberry Pomegranate Matcha Collagen Drink

Vital Proteins, Matcha, and Collagen.

I’m sure heard of these three things individually, but have you heard them all together? Yes it’s possible! It’s Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen Powder. I’ve seen influencers and everyday people alike sharing this green collagen powder on Instagram and I was intrigued, so I decided to try it myself. Now I’m not much of a cook, baker, or any sort of food/drink expert so when I tried getting creative with this powder, it was a bunch of trial and error. xD But I found this one that stuck with me and I wanted to share it with you because I think you’ll like it too. It’s a blueberry pomegranate matcha collagen drink, and I am drinking it right now as I sit here writing this post. 😛 (gotta get in the daily dose of collagen right?) READ MORE

How to Live a Life You Love and Love the Life You Live

How to Live a Life You Love and Love the Life You Live

Life is short. Choose to be happy.

We hear these phrases all the time. But the world was shaken by Kobe Bryant and his daughters’ recent and tragic deaths. It was a regular day, taking his daughter to basketball practive; nobody expected it. Did he get the chance to say his “I love you’s” to his other daughters and wife before he left? Maybe not.

The reality is that we never know when God is going to call us home. It can happen in the most unexpected way, at the most unexpected time. That’s why while we are here on Earth, I believe we should make sure that we’re living a life that we love, and loving the life we are living.  READ MORE

Tips for a Strong, Confident New Year

Tips for a Strong, Confident New Year

*This post has been co-written along with Alex from The Berger Bungalow

Confidence.

As a woman, society teaches us that we are supposed to have confidence from day one. Our hair is supposed to be long and luscious, our faces are supposed to be blemish-free and glowing, and high heels are to be worn when dressing up. While we see this every day on TV and in movies, it’s not natural. In fact, most of us struggle every day with self-confidence. It’s easy and seemingly normal to feel like we are not the best person for the job, not the most beautiful, or not the best partner, friend, or daughter. It’s become normal to compare ourselves and feel inadequate or not enough. Feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt can eventually lead to a state of depression if we keep believing these negative ideas about ourselves.  READ MORE

Weekend Florida Trip – Guide for Boca Raton + Miami

Weekend Florida Trip – Guide for Boca Raton + Miami

“How was your trip to Florida?” everyone asks.

It was AMAZING. Oh my gosh. I didn’t want to leave. I’m ready to go back already. And this is so true. I enjoyed Boca Raton and Miami Beach so much that I’m thinking about moving down there. They’re so beautiful and inviting. You feel like you’re in luxury everywhere you go. And who wouldn’t like that, right?

For anyone who didn’t already know, I recently went on a business trip with my company to Florida for a Board of Directors meeting. Being the administrative assistant, I am in charge of much of the logistical work – scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, and being the main point of contact to connect people. I assisted in creating the meeting agenda, keeping track of flights, arranging transportation, and setting up the room for the board meeting. READ MORE
