So much is changing all over the world today and it’s all happening so quickly. The scare and panic of Coronavirus (COVID-19) is taking the world by storm. We’re at the point now where a large majority of the population is working from home, or getting time off from school and classes. Everyone is encouraged (and possibly soon required) to practice social distancing – avoiding contact with others as much as possible. But with all this extra time at home, what is there to do? There’s only so much you can do before you get bored right? Or maybe you’re ALREADY bored. I totally understand. That’s why I put together this list of things to do at home during Coronavirus to keep the boredom away.
Life is short. Choose to be happy.
We hear these phrases all the time. But the world was shaken by Kobe Bryant and his daughters’ recent and tragic deaths. It was a regular day, taking his daughter to basketball practive; nobody expected it. Did he get the chance to say his “I love you’s” to his other daughters and wife before he left? Maybe not.
The reality is that we never know when God is going to call us home. It can happen in the most unexpected way, at the most unexpected time. That’s why while we are here on Earth, I believe we should make sure that we’re living a life that we love, and loving the life we are living.

As a woman, society teaches us that we are supposed to have confidence from day one. Our hair is supposed to be long and luscious, our faces are supposed to be blemish-free and glowing, and high heels are to be worn when dressing up. While we see this every day on TV and in movies, it’s not natural. In fact, most of us struggle every day with self-confidence. It’s easy and seemingly normal to feel like we are not the best person for the job, not the most beautiful, or not the best partner, friend, or daughter. It’s become normal to compare ourselves and feel inadequate or not enough. Feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt can eventually lead to a state of depression if we keep believing these negative ideas about ourselves.

“How was your trip to Florida?” everyone asks.
It was AMAZING. Oh my gosh. I didn’t want to leave. I’m ready to go back already. And this is so true. I enjoyed Boca Raton and Miami Beach so much that I’m thinking about moving down there. They’re so beautiful and inviting. You feel like you’re in luxury everywhere you go. And who wouldn’t like that, right?
For anyone who didn’t already know, I recently went on a business trip with my company to Florida for a Board of Directors meeting. Being the administrative assistant, I am in charge of much of the logistical work – scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, and being the main point of contact to connect people. I assisted in creating the meeting agenda, keeping track of flights, arranging transportation, and setting up the room for the board meeting.
Customer relationships are replacing traditional marketing.
How are your relationships with your friends/followers? This is an important question to ask yourself regularly. It isn’t stressed enough how important it is to build relationships with other people. Do you respond back to people and engage with them when they comment on your post or reply to your story? Do you give authentic responses, or do you copy/paste your replies to save time? Putting a bit of thought and effort into your responses, and even responding AT ALL can make a huge difference. Maybe it’s even as simple as sending a direct message to someone you discovered saying hi and telling them how much you love their page. Human connection is BIG.
Raise your hand if you’ve ever seen a photo on Instagram and been envious of that person 🙋 . It happens to me all the time. Sometimes it motivates me to do better, but sometimes I have to stop myself from comparing myself. This is becoming such a big issue with Instagram and other social media these days. Social media has become so standard today that it’s practically unavoidable. Instead of being a place of comparison and jealousy, why can’t it become a place of encouragement and inspiration? After all, that’s what it’s SUPPOSED to be, right?!
Summer’s right around the corner which means swimsuits, beach bods, wavy hair, and pops of color are going to be EVERYWHERE! In a (digital) sea of striped bikinis, crop tops with shorts, and #bodygoals make yourself stand out from the crowd with a bright white smile! What’s one of the first things you notice when you meet someone or look at a photo? Their features! Eyes, hair, face, SMILE. So what better way to catch someone’s attention than with your gorgeous smile. Imagine all the compliments you’ll receive and the confidence boost you’ll gain. Who WOULDN’T want that?! Right??
It was supposed to be a Sunday Funday this week – introducing a friend to Passion City Church, and then going to the first ever Atlanta blogger closet sale in Alpharetta, meeting some of the top bloggers from the Atlanta area! I had everything planned out – I had my hair curled, nails done, and outfits laid out the night before. But come morning time, the moment I woke up things started going differently. My friend bailed from church last minute, and I ended up getting to church late not even being able to sit with my other friend. So already off to a not-so-great start. But after church was the blogger closet sale!
