Your wedding day is coming up soon and you’re beyond excited. The day you’ve dreamed of is almost here! Maybe you’ve been through a rollercoaster of emotions – excitement, stress, joy, frustration – that come along with wedding planning. Take a deep breath. Everything will work out perfectly and your wedding day will be amazing. ๐

When it comes to planning your special day, stress is the LAST thing you want to have leading up to your wedding. My hope is that this quick guide will help you alieviate any doubt, stress or overwhelm as you near your special day. Be sure to add these 5 last minute things to do to your wedding timeline. I would recommend doing these tasks about a month or two before your wedding day.

1. Finalize Plans with Vendors
In the last few weeks before the big day, call all of your vendors and providers to make sure they are set on their deliverables and clear on the itinerary. If youโre too busy, kindly ask your Maid Of Honor or another bridal party member for help. Most vendors require all payments to be complete before the day of service. So consider taking care of final payments during this time to make sure there are no outstanding bills and you can enjoy yourself after the wedding!
2. Practice bustling your dress
On your wedding day, you’ll probably bustle your dress right before the first dance. With the added excitement of your recent vows, your maid of honor may have shaky hands, and you don’t want to be rushed out on the dance floor right before the big moment. During your alterations appointment, you may request that the seamstress create a very simple bustle and provide a how-to video for reference.
3. Share a Wedding Itinerary
Set a schedule for the wedding day and wedding weekend and share it with your planner, vendors, bridal party, and family. Include the time, activity, who is attending and who is responsible. That way everyone knows where they need to be at what time as well as what to expect. This sets you up for smooth sailing – no last minute stressful phone calls! Your photographer and day-of coordinator typically should create these detailed timelines for you.
4. Finalize Attendance
Unfortunately not everyone will RSVP to the wedding for one reason or another. As your deadline approaches, call and email for final confirmation on who will be coming. You can also have your Maid of Honor help with this. This will allow your vendors and caterer to be properly prepared with sufficient supplies and food. Most venues and caterers have a deadline date to submit the final guest count by, so make sure you know that date and have your count finalized.
5. Get your teeth professionally whitened
The photos from this special day of your life will live on forever so you want them to be perfect. Youโll be in your gorgeous wedding dress with your hair and makeup done up, looking as beautiful as ever. But many brides forget a small, important factor – our smiles! Having a pretty white smile is the perfect complement to complete your bridal look.

Honestly, getting custom-fitted whitening trays is the best way to go. Trays ensure that every angle of every tooth (regardless of how straight your teeth are) receives even and consistent coverage of teeth whitening gel. You’re already spending a fortune on the wedding, so don’t break the bank for professional teeth whitening. Smile Brilliant offers professional teeth whitening at home for a fraction of the price – you can even get 20% off their lower prices! Start just 2-3 weeks before the wedding & whiten nightly. Your smile will be stain-free & photo ready by the big day!
